About Dr Saba
A little about who you would be sitting with, and how I think about this work.
Why I do this
I became a clinical psychologist because of how much unnecessary suffering I saw around me in Lahore — people managing serious distress quietly, for years, because asking for help felt like an admission of failure. Very little of that suffering was necessary. Most of it responded to the right help.
In practice that means I am straightforward rather than mysterious. I will tell you what I think is going on, explain why I am suggesting something, and check whether it is working. If you disagree with me, say so — that is information, not rudeness.
What a session feels like
Fifty minutes in a quiet room, or on a video call, where nothing you say is repeated anywhere. No lying on a couch, no notes being scribbled about you, no being told what your childhood means. Mostly it is a conversation with someone whose whole attention is on understanding your situation properly.
Some sessions are practical and we work on a specific skill. Some are simply the first time you have had space to think out loud. Both are the work.
