Services

Therapy for adults, couples and adolescents, in Lahore or online across Pakistan. Below is what I most often work with, and what the work actually involves.

Anxiety and panic

For the constant low hum of worry, health anxiety, social fear, or panic attacks that make you think something is physically wrong. We work out what your anxiety is protecting you from, and slowly give you back the situations it has taken away.

  • Usually 8 to 14 sessions
  • CBT and exposure-based work

Depression and low mood

When getting through the day takes everything you have, and the things that once mattered do not reach you any more. We rebuild routine and energy first, then look at the beliefs that keep pulling you down.

  • Weekly at first, then fortnightly
  • Behavioural activation and CBT

Trauma and difficult memories

For experiences that still intrude years later — accidents, abuse, loss, violence, or a childhood that was not safe. Nothing is forced. We build stability before we go anywhere near the memory itself.

  • Paced entirely by you
  • Trauma-focused CBT and grounding work

Couples and marital therapy

For the same argument on repeat, silence that has lasted months, a breach of trust, or a marriage under pressure from both families. Both of you get heard. Neither of you gets blamed.

  • 60 to 75 minute sessions
  • Both partners attend together

Teenagers and parents

For adolescents dealing with school pressure, self-esteem, friendships or mood, and for parents who can see something is wrong but cannot reach their child. Often we work with both, separately and together.

  • Ages 13 and above
  • Parent sessions available alone

Assessment and reports

Structured psychological assessment where a clear picture is needed — for a diagnosis, an education or workplace accommodation, or a referral. You receive a written report and a session to talk it through.

  • Two to three appointments
  • Written report included

The methods behind the work

These are established, well-researched approaches. Which one we use depends on what you bring, not on a fixed formula.

Cognitive behavioural therapy

Examining the loop between what you think, how you feel and what you then do — and interrupting it in places where it can actually be interrupted.

Acceptance and commitment therapy

For difficulties that cannot simply be argued away. Less energy spent fighting the feeling, more spent moving towards what matters to you.

Trauma-focused work

Stabilisation first, then careful processing of the memory itself, so that it stops arriving uninvited in the present.

Family and systems work

Because distress rarely sits inside one person alone. Useful when the difficulty lives in the relationships around you as much as in you.

Taking the first step is the hardest part

Pick a time that suits you, or write a few lines first if that feels easier. Either way, you will hear back from Dr Saba herself.
